Pocket Wi-Fi: Guest Guide & Troubleshooting

👋 Welcome!
To ensure you have the best internet experience during your stay in Switzerland, please follow these simple tips.

Note: During evening hours (6:00 PM – 11:00 PM), local networks can get crowded. Following these rules is especially important during this time.

🚀 How to Boost Your Speed

🪟 The Windowsill Rule
Place the router directly on a windowsill. Concrete and brick walls act as a shield, blocking the signal. Glass allows the 4G signal to pass through easily.
📶 Stay High
Position the device on a high shelf or cupboard. Placing it on the floor is bad. Fewer obstacles between the router and the tower mean a better connection.
🔌 Power Up
Keep the router plugged into the charger when at home. Pocket routers often reduce their signal strength automatically when the battery is low to save power.
📺 Avoid Electronics
Keep the router at least 1 meter away from laptops, TVs, or microwaves. They create electronic "noise" that interferes with the Wi-Fi signal.
