General Terms & Conditions

Zurich Pocket Wi-Fi (zurichwifi.ch) is a service operated by Meister Dada, a company officially registered in Switzerland. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) constitute a binding rental agreement between you (the "Lessee") and Meister Dada (the "Lessor"), based in Romanshorn, Switzerland.

By booking our service, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms.

1. SERVICE SCOPE

Meister Dada rents out high-speed mobile Wi-Fi hotspots (routers) for use within Switzerland. The service includes unlimited data volume subject to a Fair Use Policy. Each router can connect multiple devices (up to 5 recommended for optimal speed). The Lessor reserves the right to suspend service in cases of illegal misuse or violation of Swiss telecommunications laws.

2. BOOKING PROCESS

We offer a personalized rental service. The booking process is as follows:

• Step 1 (Inquiry): The Lessee contacts the Lessor via WhatsApp or Email regarding rental dates and delivery location.
• Step 2 (Confirmation): The Lessor confirms availability and sends a total price quote.
• Step 3 (ID Verification): In compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications (BÜPF), the Lessee must provide a valid photo of their Passport or ID card via WhatsApp.
• Step 4 (Payment & Identity Match): The Lessee completes the payment online. Important: The name on the ID/Passport must match the name of the Credit Card or TWINT account holder used for payment.
• Step 5 (Handover): Once payment and identity match are verified, the device is handed over.

3. RENTAL PERIOD & EXTENSIONS

The minimum rental period is 2 days. The rental starts on the day of delivery/handover and ends on the day the device is returned or dropped in a mailbox.

Extensions are possible only with prior written consent (via WhatsApp/Email) from Meister Dada. If an extension is approved, the additional days must be paid for immediately online.

4. DATA USAGE & FAIR USE

The Lessee receives unlimited high-speed internet access within Switzerland. While there is no hard data cap, the network operator (Swisscom/Sunrise) may temporarily reduce speeds in extreme cases of network congestion or excessive usage (e.g., continuous downloading of hundreds of GBs) to ensure network stability for all users.

5. EQUIPMENT ACCEPTANCE

Upon delivery, the Lessee will receive:

• 1x Fully charged Wi-Fi Router
• 1x Charging Cable & Wall Plug
• 1x Pre-paid Return Envelope (Swiss Post)

The Lessee must inspect the equipment immediately. If any item is missing or damaged, it must be reported to the Lessor instantly. Otherwise, the equipment is deemed to be in perfect working order.

6. LESSEE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lessee agrees to use the device responsibly. It is strictly prohibited to:

• Remove the SIM card from the router.
• Use the service for illegal activities (fraud, spamming, illegal downloads).
• Sub-rent the device to third parties.

The Lessee is responsible for protecting the hardware from water, theft, and physical damage.

7. RETURN PROCEDURE

Returning the device is simple and included in the price:

• Place the router and accessories into the provided pre-paid envelope.
• Seal the envelope.
• Drop it into any yellow Swiss Post mailbox before the last collection time on your final rental day.

Failure to return the device on time will result in additional daily rental charges.

8. PRICES AND PAYMENT (SECURITY POLICY)

Prices are calculated per day based on the agreed rate. We operate on a strictly cashless basis.

Identity & Payment Security:

• For fraud prevention purposes, the credit card or TWINT account used for payment must belong to the person who provides the ID document.
• We reserve the right to decline the rental and refund the payment if the names do not match.

Accepted Payment Methods:

• Credit/Debit Card: Via a secure payment link (Stripe) sent via WhatsApp.
• TWINT: For Swiss residents.

A fully refundable Security Deposit of CHF 50.00 is required and will be refunded to the original payment method immediately upon the safe return of the equipment.

9. CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand travel plans change. You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a handling fee of CHF 20.00.

10. LOSS AND DAMAGE LIABILITY

The Lessee is fully liable for the loss, theft, or damage of the equipment during the rental period. The following replacement fees apply:

• Router Device: CHF 150.00
• Missing SIM Card: CHF 20.00
• Charger / Cable: CHF 15.00

The Security Deposit will be deducted from these fees.

11. DATA PRIVACY (GDPR/DSG)

Meister Dada treats your personal data strictly confidentially in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). Your ID copy is required solely for legal compliance with Swiss telecommunications laws and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Meister Dada is not liable for service interruptions caused by the network operator (e.g., signal dead zones in tunnels or remote mountains), force majeure, or misuse of the device by the Lessee.

13. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

This agreement is governed by Swiss Law. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from this contract is Romanshorn (Canton Thurgau), Switzerland.
